The Hemplime technology – insulation of houses using industrial hemp biomass – is already well known in the USA, Australia and Europe. Its essence is the production of an incredibly energy-efficient insulation mortar that is fully surrounding the structural frame of the building. The peculiarity of Hempire Mix is its’ simplicity and environmental friendliness; the insulation is made up of 3 components: hemp hurds, the 100% natural “Fifth Element” lime binder (the innovative Hempire UA product that excludes cement or toxic components) and water.
The components are mixed directly on the construction site and take no more than 1 minute to prepare, , after which the finished mortar is compacted around the wooden frame inside a temporary formwork in layers of 10 cm.
The material immediately takes on a given shape and quickly gains strength and formwork boards are removed immediately after the mortar reaches the top of the boards, so there is no technological delay in the process. Insulation process can be executed 24 hours/day. Over time, Hempire Mix insulation mortar absorbs plenty of CO2 and turns into a lightweight stone with a micro- and macro porous structure, which has impressive thermal characteristics.

The insulation is non-combustible: a 40 cm thick wall covered with lime plaster can protect against flames for at least 4 hours. The fire resistance class is EI60.

Low thermal conductivity
